FINETUNING

I  am   regularly asked to retune the  speakers made by different producers, the owners of which have acquired so great listening experience that they are not satisfied with the sound of their loudspeakers.

For many years I have had  to reconfigure products from different companies, I can`t recollect  all,  but within my  memory are  : ALON, CANTON, PRIMARE, POLK AUDIO, VANDERSTEEN, AR, B&W, KEF, TANNOY, MB QUART, TDL, SVEN, KENWOOD, JM lab, INFINITY, FISHER, PROAC, DYNAUDIO CRAFFT, APOGEE ACOUSTICS, Jamo, JBL, Castle, Sansui.
"What`s the matter? What can be changed in the sound of ready speakers?
Almost  all driver models, when connected directly to the amplifier is unacceptably distort the tonal balance, even if they are mounted in the optimal enclosure.
Even speakers, well  reproducing a certain range of frequencies, create problems when "joining" with drivers reproducing the adjacent frequency band.

A powerful instrument in skilled hands  - normalization of the amplitude frequency response and  tonal balance by means of a filter - crossovers, which  not only break up  a signal,  fed to a speaker,  into  frequency bands, but in any case,  strongly influence the amplitude-frequency characteristic.
It depends on  the mastery of an adjuster - creator of acoustic systems  whether harm or benefit will be done  to  the AFR by filters.
This rare art are mastered, for example, by specialists of the folowing  companies: Аудиоnote, Monitor audio, Vienna acoustics, Sonus Faber, Dinaudio, Living voice, Avantgarde acoustic and some others.
Most other manufacturers far not fully realize the potential of their acoustic systems, and that gives me the opportunity to create, on the basis of standard audio models,  new versions with a much more attractive sound."

INSTALLATION

Great experience in acoustics installation allows me to predict more accurately than science-like calculations, the features of audio equipment sound in acoustic conditions of various premises.

This experience helps me, while cooperating with interior designers, to achieve a harmonious combination of home theater equipment with other elements of interior.

This fact has been noticed by my competitors, who "borrowed" pictures of my installations for their advertising. In "Salon AV" magazine  (# 1 and 2, 2003) " Studio Cinema" company " decorated its advertisements  with photos of my installations.

Of course, sound, filled with feelings is necessary in movies not less than in  music playback.
I'm concerned in transfer of exceptionally intense and varied feelings, which are expressed by  movie actors.
Achievable with my audio equipment combination of  bright  soundtrack, sound effects and acting emotions  produces much  more deeper impression on a listener, than "plastic" reproduction with emphasis on effects, characteristic for most  standard sets of "home theater equipment."
